The Christmas lights event staged at the BioPark every December is a must attend event for everyone at least once in your lifetime. It is spectacular, a truly memorizing event for young children and old folks alike. We have been going for years to kick off our Christmas Holiday Season, and it only gets better every year. Mark this as... More

A lovely spot by the river to explore the native fauna of the area. Great exhibits focusing on native plants and the beauty they provide.

It is not just lighted grounds. It is almost indescribable. Moving displays of animals and insects. Be sure to do the children's area. It's not just for kids. The directions we got did not say you have to park on 10th street and ride a shuttle, not at the gardens. The shuttle was rapid (school buses) and courteous, but go... More

Experience millions of sparkling lights at New Mexico's largest walk-through holiday production with more than 500 glowing light displays and animated sculptures and a synchronized music light show. River of Lights was named one of "The 15 Most Spectacular Holiday Light Displays in the U.S." by MSN in November 2016.

We have always loved our trips to Botanic Gardens! Especially when River of Lights is on! We make 4 trips to the river of lights for the month it is open. We visit the Gardens at least 3 times a year. The care and detail of every flower, garden area, buildings is just amazing. Thank you all!!!!!!

We visited late in the day, just before River of Lights. It was cold, but wonderful for a 'Christmas' visit! I did miss the pink poinsettias this year, but they have so much to see, I can't complain. Even saw a non-caged muskrat swimming in the stream by the trains!

One of our favorite family adventures is to bike along the Rio Grande to the gardens. In the middle of the high desert, it was a real treat to find such lovely gardens. Our first visits blew us away at the vastness of the gardens and variety and the beauty of the plants and surroundings. It is a pleasant walk,... More

I never thought a botanic garden could be so enjoyable! Any time of year, this place is both peaceful and intriguing. Don't miss the River of Lights in December! WOW! Make sure you walk all the way to the back end. I can see why weddings and other celebrations are popular there. Thank you Albuquerque! You make me proud to... More

The park was nice to walk around and well done. Especially liked the "kid section" even though I had no young children with me. It was inventive, fun and something I have never seen before. The rest of the grounds were beautiful (even considering the season) and definitely worth another visit
