I didn't buy anything here, but I came to educate myself about New Mexican and Mata Ortiz (Mexican) art. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the works. Most of them are expensive, as you would expect at this level of quality, but not...More

Very positive experience. Very impressed with the sales person. She was patient and knowledgeable about the jewelry and the artist. No pressure to buy. If I had more time, I would have stopped back to purchase the ring.

My wife requested me to purchase some Native American Turquois Earrings for her. I visited this store based on a recommendation on a trusted Travel Guide Book. The Travel Guide Book said this store carries authentic Native American Jewelry. My wife and daughter are very...More

We stopped in on our way to dinner as we meandered our way through Old Town. What a surprise! First, Mary was a true hostess who taught me more about turquoise than I could have dreamed. One of her co-workers showed us the pottery, rug...More

I always stop here when in town to treat myself. They have beautiful pieces of jewelry obviously carefully chosen. Informative and friendly. Everything is quality. Not your average tourist shop in Old Town. Will be back.

While I do not know anything about the jewelry, carved wooden pieces, or other objects they carry, I do know a little about Mata Ortiz pottery and potters. Tanner Chaney is the go to gallery for work by the artists of Mara Ortiz. They have...More

Over the past several years, on my annual trip to ABQ, I have purchased several pieces of jewelry. Whether it's a ring, bracelet, earrings, or a necklace, I've always found something to my liking. The staff is friendly and professional and always eager to help.

We have been buying from this shop for 15 years. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. One must be very careful with Native American jewelry since the stones vary in quality and type. For instance, turquoise can be natural, stabilized, Southwestern, Chinese, etc....More
