This drive was pretty but not as pretty as some other areas we visited. Drove through Rocky Mountain National Park the day before and it was amazing- maybe why I wasnt super impressed with this drive.

We did quite a bit of driving during our Western trip and found this drive beautiful with mountainous scenery. No hairpin curves as found on other drives like Mt. Evans. Would definitely recommend.

This was very high rated, so we took it from Estes Park down to Golden, CO on our way to the airport. Although some of the scenery was nice, we were disappointed. Just another Drive. I do believe the view heading north is probably better...More

I had seen this as a top rated thing to do in Estes Park. We chose to use it as part of our drive home and while I'll always prefer a mountain drive to an interstate, this was one of the less impressive drives we...More

Beautiful drive that you won't regret. Lots of places to stop for pictures. We saw lots of elk on our drive.

This was a nice drive, but not spectacular. The Trail Ridge Rd. through Rocky Mountain National Park is a better drive overall.

The Peak to Peak scenic byway always has something special to see! In the numerous times we have taken it to go to and return from Estes Park, we have seen so much wildlife, including mother and teen moose standing right next to the road....More

Better known as Highway 7, in the Fall, this highway has the most amazing views of Long's Peak and other peaks as well. The best way to see it all is coming from Lyons up the canyon on Hwy 7. As you hit Allenspark, right...More

We rode the byway the other day on our motorcycles and found it only so-so. It took us longer to take the byway to get to Estes Park. We probably would not take the extra time again.

There are no hot springs in this area. You really should ask your questions in the forums, not here.

I'd give it a full day and plan on making a lot of stops along the way. I live on the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway and a thousand possible stops come to mind - a walk around Lily Lake and its views of the Longs massif and the... More

Estes Park in December is usually (but not without exception) dry and not as cold as you'd think. This is a dry period for us and we consider a White Christmas an oddity! The roads into town and in the area are well... More
