We rented poles and bought gear for trout fishing. Worker there gave a lot of good info on where to go and how to have the best luck. Kids caught fish so the advice worked. I'd go there again.

Most tourist places really gouge you but not here. Prices for boat rentals are very reasonable. Get there early in the morning for best experience and views.

Kids loved renting the bikes and pedal car, the 5 person pedal car is really hard to pedal going uphill so we wished everyone would have go regular bikes. Also rented the kayak. Rental was super easy and fast.

This was a great spot to enjoy Estes Lake as a family. We rented paddleboards and a kayak and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon exploring the lake.

We rented a Canoe for 2 hours but the some lightning chased us out! It was fantastic with amazing mountain views and calm waters! The staff were wonderful as well. I would go back again and again.

Also, I'm from Northern California, where we can enjoy the rivers in the Summer. Not so in Colorado. You might find a shallow creek to splash in, but otherwise, expect ice-water!

10 passenger pontoon boats on Lake Estes are $55 an hour. If you buy a Rocky Card for $10 (the Safeway in Estes Park sells them and proceeds go to charities in Estes Park), it says for Lake Estes Marina "Rent equipment for... More
