About
We are a specialty outdoor store located in Estes Park, Colorado at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Since 1986 we have been offering equipment, apparel, rentals and guided trips and instruction for all of our favorite activities. We offer in-season inventory as well as closeout inventory. We offer rock-climbing lessons and fly-fishing instruction. We have a huge rental department featuring camping equipment, climbing equipment, bikes, snowshoes, downhill skis, snowboards, and sleds.

We bought a disk sled and a regular sled here. The prices are reasonable and they have a great selection of items for rent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hours were more convenient than some of the other places that didn't open until 10 on the Sunday we were there.

After returning from a trip, my friend regretted not purchasing a sweatshirt from this great shop. I called and spoke with Rylee, who was amazing, going way above and beyond to locate the right sweatshirt and having it sent to me. Great shop and great staff!!!

We were in Estes Park for the weekend and wanted to rent microspikes for some hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Every person we encountered in the store was kind and helpful. They outfitted us quickly and easily with quality gear that work great during our hike. We also loved the Bargain Bin area downstairs. They had an amazing selection of top quality brands are good prices.

We were in Estes Park to visit RMNP and had a spare day and decided to rent bikes with the kids. We ended up renting 3 of the E-Bikes and had a great time. The people in the rental area were great. Friendly and very helpful with all our questions, and questions, and more questions. Helped get us sized and adjusted for our ride needs with the kids. We rented for 2 hours and it was just the right amount of time. We thought the rental costs were reasonable and we had a great experience!

Our 11 year old has been interested in climbing for awhile, so we signed him up for a 3 for $20. Ritzy was an amazing instructor. She taught him how to tie the rope, instructed him with commands, encouraged him and gave him all sorts of tips. It was a great experience. I highly recommend this as a family activity to try something new.

Went in to rent microspikes and decided it was cheaper to buy. The young man helping us was outstanding. He made sure everything fit and then recommended a variety of hikes. Everyone we encountered in the store was super helpful and friendly.

Staff was very helpful in getting our family of four geared up for snow shoeing and sledding. The equipment rental process was very straight forward, painless, and reasonably priced. There was also a great selection of clothing and gear for purchase. You could walk in off the beach and be ready to cross country ski in 20 minutes.
We came back a couple of days later for the rock climbing walls. My daughter was fearless, but my younger son needed some encouragement. The staff was nothing but positive, enthusiastic, and instructive for both of their climbs.

I went with my friends and we booked a tour with CMShop Snowshoeing - our guide was Zion. From the start all the store staff was very friendly and attentive. We went to the mountains through frozen lakes - dream lake was my favorite. Zion even let me have the beautiful experience of having a bird landing on my hand three times! I felt like Snow White. Highly recommended !

We were there twice to pick up equipment for winter hiking. Both times the associates were knowledgeable and helpful and we walked out with exactly what we needed, including a map. I was so impressed by both - I felt that they listened to us and suggested equipment that made sense for us. Highly recommend!
