We were very impressed with the indoor gardens / greenhouses and paths. Will return in the spring / summer to enjoy the outdoor trees and gardens or maybe early fall to enjoy spectaculat foliage. Great place to chill out and enjoy a picnic. Even our teen enjoyed the visit!

I love the grounds here which are huge and scenic and very well taken care of. The greenhouses are also impressive- so many different plants and flowers, colorful and there is a hush inside them that always makes me smile. I toured the mansion with my friend- deciding to not go with a docent (The one bone I had to... More

I have visited the Planting Fields Arboretum several times ... and always enjoy spending time in the beautiful surroundings there. There are so many green houses to see ... with amazing blooms almost year round!

Nestled between Oyster Bay and Locust Valley, this arboretum is a sanctuary for those who want to bathe in nature's glory. From large maple, oak and other trees, to a garden tended by the staff, from flowers to greenhouses, this is a wonderful place for a walk with a camera and a friend.

This place is breathtaking on each season. The colors of all the trees and flowers are picture perfect. They have events throughout the year that are terrific for nature lovers, but also for children. This place has become one of our favorite for weekends!!

Beautiful grounds, beautiful castle like home. The 13 th century English stained glass windows blew my mind. Today they had children's Christmas activities from gingerbread man decorating face painting and free tattoos for the kids. Also Christmas Carolers in the main halls. Beautiful day at the planting fields. Can't wait to take a trip in the spring.

What a treasure, I visited here over the summer and was stunned. The greenhouses are set up beautifully and are well labeled and maintained. The plants are incredible and you can really get some great shots with your camera. The grounds, designed by the Olmsteads (Central Park fame) are quite breathtaking, especially outside of Coe Hall. There were hundreds of... More

Took the whole family (teenage kids and the Mrs) and this place is gorgeous. Flower gardens, fountains, gazebos, lawns, greenhouses. Lots of gorgeous nature to stroll through and talk to the kids about. Reviewers noted the lack of signage, which does make for nice wandering around. maps are distributed for free, but aren't all that great. Go with lots of... More

We visit the beautiful arboratum every season. During fall, the dalia garden is in full bloom and some of the roses along the rose path are still as beautiful as they were in the summer. Every path will lead you to another amazement of the nature's beauty. The green houses are also greatly maintained whenever we visit. The garden is... More
