Cool day but animal still were under cover. Didn't have much for gift or food so we were glad we brought our own. My dog was fine left in our truck so don't worry about that rule.

This Zoo in the Sonoran Desert provides a high quality look at the desert environs plants and animals. Just do it and be sure to drive over Gates pass going and/or coming.

We've been there with 2 little kids and we all loved it. It was an amazing experience we've literally in a desert!! You'll need to have water with you. Don't miss it. It's a must

I don't think there are any other options it is away from town. I recommend renting a car as Tucson is not well connected and it's attractions are for the most part not in the actual town. If a rental is not an option uber... More

It is dry heat so tolerable at most temperatures but, March weather is averaged at 75-77 degrees.
