Built in the 1700s, this recently restored white adobe church, representing a wonderful example of Spanish colonial architecture, is beautiful inside and out, with colorful frescoes, sculptures and carvings.

Mission is beautiful. Not a large mission, but lovely inside with wonderful carvings of figures. Doing some restoration in courtyard. Worthwhile watching the video

All I can say is everybody living or just visitimg Tucson must visit. The history is unbelievable. The art on the walls and ceilings. You will be amazed.

One of the oldest Spanish missions in the US. Cathedral is impressive. Small museum and nice gift shop. Several vendors offering Indian bread and other food in the parking lot.

Dress appropriate you are in a church. Weather is warm so you can wear shorts. Men Remove hats when entering buildings.

I don't know about the handicap access. But if you are staying on the southwest side of Tucson, it is such a short drive south that it is probably worth the trip to check it out even if it isn't HC accessible. Just being... More
