Located about 10 miles south of Tucson, the historic Mission is filled with original statues, frescoes and altar displays. The building is an wonderful example of Spanish Architecture and very worth the time for a visit. Don't skip the fried bread from vendors located in front of the Mission.

We have come a few times and always like to bring out of town guest. It is amazing piece of history. They have done a fantastic job restoring the mission. We also enjoy the local Indian tribe that sell food in the front. Delicious! I enjoy watching them make fresh fry bread right in front of you. Worth the trip... More

Depending on your religious persuasion there is a definite feeling of old world catholicism but there is very little to be seen. Indeed it is an historic site with its secular beauty but otherwise not much to see or do. Interior of this old and well known white oasis is interesting as are the talks supplied on an hourly basis.... More

This is a beautiful, historic example of Hispano-Moresque architecture and still an operating church. The inside has colorful painted walls. There is a gift shop, a plaza across the parking lot from the mission, and a path that one can take nearby that leads up to a shrine at a height where one can look down on the surrounding area.

This mission church is quite the gem. Only about 20 minutes south of Tucson, it's a beautiful white exterior and a detailed example of Spanish art inside. Free tours are offered, and we started one. The docent was well-informed and friendly, but we were in a bit of a time crunch and couldn't stay for all of it.

A well maintianed large mission possibly one of the best preserved in the U.S. Close to Tucson and on the way to Tubac, Bisbee, Nogales or Tombstone. Well worth the visit.

Unexpected step back in time. The solitude touches you. The simpleness reminds you that touching God can happen anywhere.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, many people but site was easily accessible. Outdoor food vendors offering home style cooking. Gift shop with great variety. Very historic, very relaxing visit.

Enjoyed being here for Palm Sunday. It was standing room only and I am not Catholic but did enjoy anyway. The fry bread was a treat. Beautiful setting and church
