Attended the Tucson Symphony Journey with Conductor Jose Luis Gomez who is absolutely wonderful. The young performers, Hanna Lee, Carissa Powe, and Andrew Boyle were just amazing, such talent for their ages. We also had the privilege of watching Anthony Constantino, a very young Composer. It truly was an amazing performance of young talent in our area.

You're in the middle of the desert miles and miles from civilization sitting in a concert hall, beautiful music expertly played and you wonder, "How is this possible?" But it is. A very fine orchestra led by talented conductors for 87 years. It's a marvel. There is natural beauty in the desert but there is the wonder of ethereal sounds... More

We had the pleasure of going to see Peter and the Wolf last weekend with our 3.5 year old daughter. My daughter loved seeing the symphony and having us point out the various instruments to her. She also enjoyed the pre-show where the conductor had the audience guess what kind of animal each music piece represented. We had prepared her... More

We attended the performance of Peter and the Wolf last Saturday. What a pleasure to see and hear so many talented musicians under the direction of our new Music Director José Luis Gomez, who adds a touch of levity to his performances. If Symphony events are to your liking, get tickets to the Tucson events !

Attended the TSO Magic of Christmas concert yesterday. Not only did the orchestra play wonderful Christmas music, but the TSO chorus and U of A dancers gave wonderful performances. The dancers were amazing! The beautiful show had a wonderful ending with snow falling and a snowball fight.

My wife and I attended the Music of John Williams performance in October and it lived up to our high expectations. The orchestra, as usual, was flawless and engaged, the guest conductor, Robert Bernhardt, was entertaining and endearing, and the music was what one expects of John Williams' work - adrenaline-raising (Superman), heart-rending (Schindler's List), nostalgic (Fiddler on the Roof,... The live performance by the Tucson Symphony Orchestra of Disney's Fantasia was as magical as Walt Disney's creative spirit! Everyone spellbound - from the happy babies with not a whining among them, to the standing ovation adults with not a snoring among them!

We also attended the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with Jose Luis Gomez as Guest Conductor and Chee-Yun on Violin. It was our first time in at this concert house and we were pleasantly surprised. We sat in the first row of the balcony and the view and sound quality were both excellent. The orchestra is first quality and both the guest... More

Attended Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with Jose Luis Gomez as Guest Conductor and Chee-Yun on Violin. What a breath-taking performance! The conductor was magnificent-fluid hands like a dancer's; animated and almost dancing to the music while conducting. A captivating performance! Chee-Yun's playing was so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. The TSO 's playing was precise and magnificent. Tucson is... More
