was going on Wednesdays with the hiking meetup, but they just zip up the mountain and I guess I'm not fit enough. This *is* quite steep and fully paved. There is one set of restrooms. Beautiful view from the top. Very popular all hours of...More

A paved road all the way to the top, but don't let that lull you into thinking it will be easy. There is a 700 foot gain in elevation, and the angle of incline gets incredibly steep near the top. I guarantee your calf muscles...More

Halfway through the walk up this hill you'll be thinking "this isn't too tough" and that's a mistake. The last 25% of the walk is at a STEEP incline with many switchbacks. It's well-paved and maintained and wide enough for service vehicles to use for...More

Didn't realize how great of a workout this "hike" would be. I hesitate calling it a hike, as it's on a paved path, but the climb sure makes it feel like a hike. My heart rate was elevated shortly after we started. The only thing...More

The hill is only 1.5 miles on a paved road. Sounds easy, but the 300' elevation gain during the first half prepares you for the 400' elevation gain during the second half. Great 45 minute workout close to downtown.

The trail was paved all the way. Not a vision of a typical mountain hike, but it was nice not to have to dodge rocks and boulders. Well used by locals and tourists, but not overly crowded.

Go at your own pace. There are people with many levels of physical fitness. Take some water. Enjoy the view at the top and feel good about your accomplishment.

I come here often in the very early mornings. Running up this hill (run up to halfway, do some exercises, run to top, back to half, more exercises, back up, etc) is quite a workout. The view of Tucson is great and the sunrise is...More

This was a last minute trip while attending a conference. I did not really have much information about this attraction but fortunately I had my walking shoes with me. The views at the top are really good, you can see the city and the surrounding...More

Yes. Just don't park in the doctors office parking lot you could get towed if they are open. Great hike up with terrific views and this time of year might see the deers walking around.

I get 1.55 miles one way with a 730 foot elevation for 11.2% on average. It is maybe 15% for the last 1/2 mile. Women push baby strollers to the top.
