Opened January 2013. A formal Japanese Garden with very nice Koi Pond. The specimen plants are new and still need development but the garden is a nice addition to Tucson. Yume is a half block away from the Tucson Botanical Garden.

We were in Tucson to visit Saguaro National Park and thought we'd take a couple of small detours, which included the Yume Japanese Gardens. The Gardens are oddly set up; the visitor's center was obviously originally a private dwelling and the Gardens have been inserted into what would have been the backyard. As a result, the Gardens are quite small... More

This is a well laid out series of small Japanese gardens. But the admission is very pricey for what you get. It takes about 30 minutes to see the entire place. When we were there, they also had a small exhibit of kimonos.

Yesterday was my first time visiting the Yume Gardens, and, though it didn't seem so "in the moment", it has left a lasting impression on me. And I must say, I WILL be visiting again. For only being 3 years old the gardens seemed older...both in good ways and not so good ways. The "Bones" are FABULOUS; the plantings are... More

Very unique find in San Antonio. Lovely waterfall, garden, ponds, and historic site. I only wish it were bigger.

These five small simple gardens opened three years ago and cover three-quarters of an acre. Desert materials, such as river rock, have been used in the design, which focuses on scaled reduction and symbolism. For example, the stone and gravel garden uses asymmetric groups of stone to represent an island and raked gravel to suggest calm water. Too bad I... More

A bit pricy. $9 per adult and $5 per child over 3. It's a decent size garden. Took us 30 mins to finish walking around. Needs more improvement.

The Yume garden, located within the city of Tucson (and less than a block from the Tucson Botanical Gardens) is a 3-year-old garden that is working toward becoming a mature garden. There are many nice features here, including a number of different viewing areas, a pleasant pond, and a nice gift shop. The garden still has a new look, but... More

Tucson is blessed to have this lovely little oasis in its midst, for those who care to stroll and maybe sit awhile. At a small 3/4 of an acre, one can cruise through quickly (in even under 30 minutes)... or behold the amazing glory for quite some time. Personally? I was there for 2.5 hours taking pictures in the ever... More

If you just need to take a break and relax, come here. Its lovely and peaceful and nice to wander through for 30-60 minutes. Or you can bring a drink and meditate or just relax and stay longer.

This was an absolutely beautiful, little Japanese garden in the middle of Tucson. It is only about 3 years old, so the vegetation is small in some places, but still nicely laid out. Plenty of shady benches to sit and relax. There is also a small museum room and gift shop filled with neat Japanese items.. The buildings in the... More
