Opened January 2013. A formal Japanese Garden with very nice Koi Pond. The specimen plants are new and still need development but the garden is a nice addition to Tucson. Yume is a half block away from the Tucson Botanical Garden.

Looking for something to see this is a definite place to see. We enjoyed walking through the different gardens. Each is different from the next. The gardens are still maturing and will be something to go back to in another year to see. We look...More

Yume Gardens introduces many basic elements of Japanese garden design to people in Tucson. The garden has a water basin (tsukubai), bamboo fence, pond, a flat, dry, gravelly karesansui (dry garden) area. One can also see stone lanterns, shimeniwa (sacred rope that is supposed to...More

A great discovery of a little known treasure of authentic types of private gardens to stroll or stay in each setting to enjoy the plants and fixtures decorating the mini parks, including the koi pond. This is a labor of love and a work in...More

Was pleasantly surprised by the variety present on the grounds, especially the very large Koi pond! The gift shop is small but well-stocked. There is not a food option on the grounds so plan accordingly.

If you like Asia or Japan or are just looking for some peace and quiet in the morning or afternoon this is a must do. We came upon it by chance and loved it. We would go again.

For anyone interested in Japanese Garden and/or the Japanese eye for design, this is a Must See! It is easy to drive past because it is not well marked with signage, but once you find it, you will have arrived! While it does not look...More

We were in Tucson to visit Saguaro National Park and thought we'd take a couple of small detours, which included the Yume Japanese Gardens. The Gardens are oddly set up; the visitor's center was obviously originally a private dwelling and the Gardens have been inserted...More

This is a well laid out series of small Japanese gardens. But the admission is very pricey for what you get. It takes about 30 minutes to see the entire place. When we were there, they also had a small exhibit of kimonos.

Yesterday was my first time visiting the Yume Gardens, and, though it didn't seem so "in the moment", it has left a lasting impression on me. And I must say, I WILL be visiting again. For only being 3 years old the gardens seemed older...both...More

These five small simple gardens opened three years ago and cover three-quarters of an acre. Desert materials, such as river rock, have been used in the design, which focuses on scaled reduction and symbolism. For example, the stone and gravel garden uses asymmetric groups of...More
