Anyone who lives in Tucson can tell you about the drive up to A Mountain. I have gone again and again. My grandchildren love it, as do I.

Driving to the top is not for the fainthearted but well worth it for the views at the top. Excellent walkways and lookouts at the top. Very interesting history of the location as well. The drive back down was significantly less nerve wracking! :)

Best place to get spectacular view of the city and the surrounding area. Best take a map if your not a local to pinpoint the landmarks.

Fantastic views of the city! Day and night! Also great for sunset, beautiful views all around. There's a gazebo that gives you great views. No toilets up there!!

Easy to drive or walk to with a great view of the city and surroundings. I like the lack of fencing. It could use just a little bit of cleanup.

You see it from afar then up close is impressive. Worth the drive up to see the view from there. Tough parking.

Literally! In central Tucson, named for the 30' high "A" for the University. Free! Short drive to summit, wonderful views of Tucson, environs.

Is the drive to the peak dangerous? I don't like driving on windy mountain curves. Is it an easy drive to the top to see a sunset?

Easy. It may be windy but that doesn't impede your driving. The view is worth it.
