Traveling with a dog, we look for outdoor activities. Walking around Pickering Wharf was ideal. Please know you're on the waterfront and it can get chilly and breezy!

This complex was developed in 1977 and named after the oil company that owned the property previously. The stores have struggled in the past but it's now a great place to spend an hour or two window shopping, pick up a few trinkets and souvenirs,...More

Spent a long Easter weekend in Salem and returned to Pickering Wharf 4 days in a row! Restaurants, shops (loved Salem Spice Company) and the wharf itself. . . .a pleasure to walk around!

The ship wasn't there and there wasn't a sign I could see that explained why. The area surrounding it had shops that were boring and deserted whichoat might find a good thing. I took it as no one was interested. This is one you can...More

We were in Salem during March, so the big ship wasn't there to see. The wharf is a nice place to take an after dinner walk, but nothing incredible. Makes for some nice pictures though!

I highly recommend upon visiting Salem to stop at the ward. Many shops and great places to eat overlooking the warm area.

A bunch of shops and restaurants. A nice place to poke around, even for locals. Crowded and fun during the summer.

Everything is pretty walkable so I would recommend looking for street parking somewhere near the warf. There are plenty of benches and little cafes or places to grab a seat if you need a rest. Always tell people to find a... More
