We took our grandsons to the newly remodeled Witte and were impressed. The entrance is completely improved with a much higher ceiling and the colors are impressive. The have a flying dinosaur over the ceiling at the front entrance. Many exhibits have been increased and enhanced. The Witte should not be missed.

A place to learn of the locals of the early 1900 and earlier. The Indians that predate the white man, and the cattleman that made Texas. A very enjoyable few hours learning some more history for us. That and dinosaurs and space travel made the experience great. Many helpful and knowledgeable staff like David who talked to us about the... More

The efforts that have gone into creating a hands-on learning experience for "children" of all ages are truly appreciated. We enjoyed watching many pre-school and school groups see history and gain learning in a very engaging environment. The grounds are well kept, staff available for questions, and the history lesson provided was very worthwhile.

Took my kiddo to the newly renovated museum. It's beautiful and I love the new exhibits or actually the reorganization of it. The grounds are very relaxing if you want to bring a snack or lunch to enjoy at one of the shaded picnic tables. There is a small snack shop with ready made sandwiches and chips.

Didn't know what to expect but the huge life sized dinosaurs in the entrance hall set me at ease. We went straight for the Above and beyond exhibit which the grandkids loved. In one space you could "build" your own fighter plane and then fly it in your own cockpit. In another you could collect and destroy space garbage like... More

The new Witte offers something for everyone, indoors and outdoors. The new dinosaur exhibit is beautiful. My kids always enjoy the treehouse. The Boeing exhibit was fun for kids too. Enjoy!

The Witte Museum is a beautiful building near the downtown area of San Antonio. It is situated on lovely grounds on the San Antonio River. The foliage near the building is beautiful and well landscaped. The museum is very organized and depicts the wildlife and Native American culture. There is a section on dinosaurs and a new exhibit on space... More

The renovations and new exhibits at the Witte are great! There's even a few hands on exhibits for the kids. A great family outing!
