The Paseo del Rio is San Antonio's favorite attraction. You can shop, dine, lounge in a cafe, or simply stroll along and let the strumming mariachi soothe your spirit.

A nice walk and boat ride through the river in line with Venice but not at the same level, in America it's a nice experience lot of good food options it's worth going if you are around.

This was not something that I was impressed by. The walk is nice along the artificial river, which is lined with cheesy restaurants, as motorboats filled with tourists plow up and down scattering the ducks. This is the main attraction of the city, and I...More

It’s like going to an ice cream shop and just ordering a glass of tap water. For your first time in the city it is a must do. It is very entertaining to learn of why water and river walk is there and the role...More

I don't have to say any more than this is a must see attraction. It's great for a relaxing and scenic walk. The day we went it was almost 100 degrees out. But when you get on the river walk the temperature drops, and there...More

Visit in the fall. You'll thank yourself. Also, visit on a weekday. It was super crowded and we were in an area highly concentrated with restaurants. I'm told there is another area with lots of little boutiques and shops but we were too hot and...More

Be sure to take a boat ride. The tour guides are hilarious! Best time to ride is at night. Great ride for the price.

One can simply stroll along the (rather muddy) river, eat at cafes, shop in dozens of stores, or even take a river cruise, hearing much of the city's history along the way. Restaurants and the like can be somewhat pricey in this tourist haven. However,...More

I would feel comfortable on the Riverwalk at night as a single woman. I like Casa de Rio with their colorful umbrellas and Boudro's for dining.
