The River Walk was built for a previous world's fair and a lot of the attractions form the basis for the River Walk. The canal itself and the Tower of the Americas (which is a short walk away) were both built for the fair. If you are looking for world class Mexican restaurants, this is the place. You can stroll... This is a fun, and very pretty area to walk around, eat and shop. It is a wonderful place to come with the family and am glad I walked around.

Was too warm and crowded. I cannot recall if it was a week day. Made theasy mistake of taking the dog. A Mexican restaurant, which name I cannot recall was fabulous. This review is nothe meant to be a deciding factor. If I go again, it will be in the cooler months, and a week day. There will be another... More

I really enjoy walking along the Riverwalk. There are plenty of restaurants to have a cocktail or snack. It is pretty touristy, but it's still a fun outing.

This is always a good trip with couples or the entire family. Strollers can be a bit difficult but there are several hotels who have elevators to help.

Walked from the hotel down (on the riverwalk) down to the restaurant/bar areas. Stopped in for dinner and enjoyed the evening while sitting outside. Pleasant weather in early December was a definite plus.

The River Walk is a beautiful place where the shops and restaurants are so inviting. The atmosphere is great and it is a beautiful walk as well.
