Lots of walking trails that can either follow the water or twist through the trees. Great place to get some exercise or bring the dog. Even if its cold out and you cant see the flowers in bloom, its still a nice place near downtown to get exercise.

We rented bikes and rode many trails all over Brackenridge park. It was a very large, beautiful park. There are paths all over the place. It is peaceful and well maintained. There is free parking.

For more than 100 years San Antonio has relaxed and played in Brackenridge Park. The Zoo, the Japanese Tea Garden, the San Antonio River and ample picnic spaces make for a great family destination. But my favorite is the Braceknridge Eagle miniture train which is about three miles long. (OK, they now call it the "Zoo Train" but I'm an... More

The San Antonio Zoo is first class - large array of animal exhibits - the staff is very helpful and they keep the grounds clean. A very pleasant experience

We visited here after dark and there was a event going on It was amazing to walk through the gardens in the dark with the lights on the water and having music and activity going on. We did not visit any other part of the park.

Really big park that is pretty to drive through, but as far as I can tell, the only attractions are the zoo, train, Japanese Tea Garden, and Witte Museum. The Botanical Gardens seem to be nearby. Very pretty to drive through.

the place was packed on a early sunday evening, you could see alot of kids birthday parties were winding down, they need more parking, there were some thugs driving there low riders alittle too fast with all the small kids around. the large pavilion in the park was pretty cool. and the river is just right there with the ducks... We spent about 1-1/2 hours just walking the paths in the park last Sunday. Very relaxing and pretty. Along the San Antonio River with good assortment of big old trees and other plant life. Lots of picnic tables with grills - we plan to return this autumn or winter to have a cookout. We often go to the zoo and... More
