There are two things just about every child in San Antonio has done — visited Brackenridge Park and taken a ride on the Brackenridge Eagle Miniature Train. It'll take you on a scenic tour of the park, so you can rest your feet and enjoy the ride. It is also one of the longest miniature train rides in the world, covering 3.2 miles of track and taking guests to many stops around the park such as the zoo, sunken gardens, and the Witte Museum.

I took my grand kids to ride the train. The ride was $3.50 for anyone over 2 years old. We sat in the first car and it was hard to hear the conductor talk over the engine. The ride takes about 20 minutes and makes 4 stops. The conductor is very informative about the park, zoo, museum, tea gardens and golf course.... More

I always bring my Spanish Club to San Antonio so they can practice their Spanish language skills. While in San Antonio, I always make sure we ride the train. My students absolutely love it! We always meet such friendly people in San Antonio, and the train ride is always a hit!

It only costs $3.50 for a ticket to ride this miniature train through Brackenridge Park. The ride is 15+ minutes with stops at several venues where you can deboard if you want. You can get on another train later to complete your ride with the same ticket. It's a fun way to explore the park.

Our family had hoped to visit the San Antonio Zoo but we spent too much time at the Missions NHP. So we decided to ride the San Antonio Zoo Eagle Train to get a look at Brackenridge Park. At $3.50 per ticket we saw this as a fun and relatively inexpensive activity. Our kids are 8 and 5 so they... More

A fitting way to end our day at the zoo. It was a nice ride and the clickety clack of rails and slow rocking of the car quickly relaxed my grandson into a silent trance. Nothing real exciting about the train, but fun none the less.

We did the train ride at the end of our Zoo visit. It was a great end to the visit, giving us a chance to rest our tired legs, but it doesn't have a lot to offer in and of itself. It's a very quick ride, only 20 minutes, and there's really not much to see. About half the ride... More

With family in from out of state, we loaded everyone up to go ride the San Antonio Eagle. Our 2 year old especially was so excited to ride. Unfortunately, upon our arrival we were told the train was closed from 4:45-6pm. This was on the Saturday evening of Thanksgiving weekend. There had been no notices posted online or at the... More

The train ride is fun for kids and family. Has several stops and we got off at the stops to walk to the attractions near by. Kiddie park and the Japanese garden. Super nice for kids . Highly recommended.

Cheap travel through the park. We actually rode twice, once to see what all was around and once to get to the tea garden after the zoo visit.

Stock up your eggs and ride the train to hatch 'em all. Also there's about 10 pokestops accessible from the train, and plenty of great pokemon all along the route. Can get very crowded on weekends, you might have to wait half an hour or more. But the rest of the week there's barely any wait.
