WE boarded a boat at one of the stops and did a tour of the San Antonio River. with a guide who poited out places of interest and architecture of the buildings we passsed. Tour takes about an hour.

The damming of the San Antonio River in 1921 is what created The RIverWalk in downtown San Antonio. So you will see a lot of the river. There are many barge-type tourist boats with guides that are for hire and give you a different perspective...More

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the River! It was beautiful at night and also during the day. So much to enjoy that it took a few days to walk it all!

We liked to walk around the river and we even liked the boat ride around the riverwalk. Good place for taking pictures.

The Riverwalk is absolutely beautiful. Try to come between Thanksgiving and New Years to see all the lights.

What a lovely walking place (or running). The view is nice and peaceful. The ground is NOT smooth so if you have a walker or stellar with small wheels it might be difficult.

There are many entry points. The entrance near the Aloma and shopping mall parking could be ideal. Normally on holidays you will find it difficult to get parking space. As long as you can walk to the water taxi start point... More
