We were at the Tobin and went over to see this memorial. It was so realistic with a very moving poem. The sculpture captured the horror of war.

We walked to the Tobin Performance Arts Center and this was near by. The space is small yet the sculpture is very powerful and moving. Nice courtyard with terraces, peaceful and solemn. Nice place to reflect for a few moments.

Nice memorial to have a look at and reflect on the horror of wars. Small memorial but leaves a lasting image with the act of mate ship shown in memorial. Also don't forget to have a look at the Korean War memorial on the other...More

I have walked past this memorial several times, but never took the time to seriously look at it. This is a beautiful tribute to those brave men and women who served in a war without recognition.

As a Vietnam veteran, I usually stop to see all memorial in my travels. I thank San Antonio for having this memorial as many town do not have one. This huger than life statue really gets to a veteran.

The statues and exhibits although solemn allow us to appreciate the SACRIFICES of the men and women who faced so many challenges in the theater of war and at home. It is also a place where families of survivors or Vietnam War veterans can gather...More

Located on a narrow park in front of the Tobin Center for the Arts, this somber monument is rarely mentioned in tourist literature. The statue is extremely detailed, from the mud between the boot treads of the fallen soldier to the pain and anguish in...More

My husband and I are Army veterans and served in medical units. This memorial is the first full size memorial that we have seen that depicts the role of the medic helping a fallen comrade. It is an amazing representation and touched both of us.

I took my three children here for a visit. They learned so much in the short amount of time we were there. Powerful statues that told stories of our history
