This is not a normal tourist location, though if you're there at the right time, the parents' pride for their Airmen graduating from basic training is evident. One must have a military ID to make purchases from the Base Exchange and Commissary. Other fast food...More

Be over the bridge by 8:20 am for the parade. :-) Information and navigating on base is.....challenging. Be prepared to walk.

Very nice base, though more traffic assistance could be used during graduation week. Airmen were very kind in offering assistance when asked.

Are you going with anyone who is active/retired military? If not, I believe the only way to tour the base is with a school or organization that has made a formal request. To my knowledge, the general public isn't allowed... More

We just need to get a pass and we can tour the base? I would love to have the rush of those memories...dang, I feel old!

I believe you have to have someone stationed on base to enter as a civilian. They have to meet you at the gate. I was told that is the only way on under more recent rules or laws.
