This is a fun course with some interesting holes, and two quirky holes. The views on the back nine are spectacular---seeing the entire city. Greens were fast. Fairways were in good shape. Overall, I enjoyed it. It is expense to play. But if you're visiting, and want a good course with a view here it is.

The Palmer course is one of two courses at LaConterra. Palmer is more tree lined and has some great elevation changes. It's somewhat more difficult than the Resort course but if you enjoy a challenge, then play this course. There are a few holes where you are hitting towards a hidden green due to rolling hills. If you aren't the... More

Played this fathers day and the course wasn't very crowded at all. The driving range is very short, irons only. With that being said the course is only 6800 from the tips so most of the course is irons only. I was able to play the ball down with only a little trouble from shots that were in the rough... More

My husband and I were on a quick getaway, so while I lounged by the pool, he went to play the Palmer Course. I went to meet him and rode with him on the back 9, and I'm so glad I did! It was absolutely gorgeous, and the views are stunning! Despite the 90 degree heat, the breeze was enough... More

My wife and I played the day after a hard rain and it was cart path only and there were a few traps washed out or full of water. Other than that the course was in great condition and very playable. The front nine you play in a valley and the back nine on top of the hills. It is... More

we were received promptly in the pro shop. the practice green is nice and in good condition. the course is in good, overall condition. we were disappointed that the greens had been recently aerated. we were told that they were fast, but i guess that is very subjected. as my wife and i found them very slow. overall it is... Its a tough course. Lot's of blind fairway shots to the green. Well maintained fairways and greens. A little pricey, but worth the challenge.

The Palmer course is about 5 miles away from the resort but the effort to play here is well worth it. The greens are lightning fast and many slope from side to side so playing with a member or reading the yardage book will be a big help. This is not a course for beginners or young kids unless they... We played this course today and it was in great shape for early January. This course will challenge any golfer and punishes errant tee shots (and even some accurate shots with tough lies), but the scenery of this course is really nice, especially for Texas. 18 is an incredible finishing hole, and no matter your score at the end of...
