We have been to the CIA in Hyde Park, so we were excited about the San Antonio CIA. We were not disappointed. We went to the Bakery in the morning and then had dinner at the Dao Latin Gastro Bar. All of the bakery items looks wonderful and tasted even better. For dinner, we had grilled shrimp, empanadas, sea bass... More

As a novice foodie, you want to know if you can handle a true food service experience. This one-day class will help you. Our group of 4 jumped in and were presented with an ambitious menu. Hold tight, trust your instincts and let your profile ring through. Fantastic day with fantastic results and will definitely be back with friends. Nice... More

Our visit for lunch was one of the best parts of our trip to San Antonio. We sat at the bar stools up by the salad prep area and showed up right when they opened so the students were relaxed and friendly. They spoke to us and were so interesting and friendly. It was fun to watch them cooks and... More

We loved the pearl area of the city. This CIA has this cafe where we got a scone and a passion fruit drink the sat outside to people watch. We were there mid morning so did not try their resturaunt. Great food made by the students!

We stopped at the Pearl district on the River Walk. We were pleasantly surprised to find a CIA. It's restaurant week here and we had a wonderful 3 course meal at a great price.

Yes, this is a culinary school restaurant, but this is not amateur hour. Incredible menu, you cannot make a bad choice. Great service. Fabulously inexpensive. This was perhaps the best meal we've had in a week in San Antonio

July 19, 2016, myself and eleven ladies made reservations at Nao, Culinary Institute at 5;30PM. When we arrived our table was not ready. Once seated we had to make the decision between Family Style or individual menu orders. Family Style is available only if everyone at the table participates. Decision made: Family Style which includes three family style small plates... More

Also the information about food/wines was really... More

Here they offer some classes for lovers of cooking. Generally the class has 10 people with a Chef instructor. You can get the feeling of working in a restaurant, and try to be a chef for the day.

It is not easy to design a course with students who have a wide range of skills and experience, but the Institute pulled it off. I took the classic and contemporary sauces class and we had plenty of demos, time to cook, and most importantly -time to eat! Support staff was veryhelpful and I can't think of one thing they...
