Loved stopping in to see this little church after spending time at the Alamo. This small gem is tucked away between much larger buildings. Worth poking your head in to see the beauty within.

Very quaint and beautiful. Old time church close to the Rivercenter. Incredible. There is really no parking area nearby that I could see.

They have mass in German once a month and this was the center from much of the German Catholics. Before river extension, this was German part of town. Beautiful with great choir.

Just off the Riverwalk, you'll find this Church. The building is very impressive inside and out. Early last century, a boys school was managed from this church. The site of the boys homes is currently a hotel.

Nestled in the midst of massive hotels and shopping malls is this little Catholic Church that refused to be bought out! The Main Altar is fabulous! Above the crucifix is a decorative portal through which, if you are in eth main aisle, you'll see the...More

This church was built 1800's by German immigrants. It is quite lovely. I attended Mass here, and the parishioners were very nice and welcoming. The church is located on a main road in San Antonio, and is in walking distance of some hotels.

There a lot of larger churches and cathedrals nearby but this little gem should not be overlooked. Close to Riverwalk.

My wife went for Sunday morning mass to experience a bilingual mass which she thoroughly enjoyed, even though she couldn't speak Spanish.

I thought it was interesting. Some of the guys from the Alamo stand-off are interred here, as well as other people with some plaques in the back of the church. It is a functioning church, so be respectful.

Of course you can! People of any faith, even no faith, can go in to visit. If there is service going on, I think it's OK to walk in and look, and to pray, so long as we're respectful and not distracting to others attending... More
