The Empire Theatre was built in 1913 and it is in the National Register of Historic Places. It is a small venue (about 856 seats) so therefore not a bad seat. It shares the dressing rooms, backstage, and basement with the Majestic Theatre.

Watched a concert at the Empire. Great view from the mezzanine seats. Lovely theater. A bit lacking in the number of bathrooms.

Attended for first time, and enjoyed the performance very much, but the seating is horrible, narrow, tight, and almost unbearable.

A lovely restored theater in downtown San Antonio. I recently attended a performance and sat in row G of the mezzanine level. We had a great view of the stage. My only issue is the rows are close together so the leg room for someone...More

Wife, kids (8,5) enjoyed play at this magical theater. Every seat is close to stage. Old but in awesome conditions.

Just very beautiful in there and the performers are real close. In the back rows you still can see the performers. Not real close but you still can see great

This is a great place for music. You will not be far from the performers wherever you sit. But be forewarned. It is an old theater. This means a lot of stairs and bathrooms all the way in the basement. There is one elevator, but...More

This is the backside of the Majestic Theater and was only for blacks back in the day. Awesome renovation of the original artwork and wall treatments. It is going to get a new name soon so look for that.
