San Juan Classic Day Sailing offers 2 hour Day Sails, Half Day Private Charters, Sun Set Sails and Sailing Lessons out of Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Wa. aboard beautiful classic, fully restored wooden sailing ships. We sail through some of the most beautiful and pristine waters in the world, offering guests a chance to participate hands on the the sailing of the vessel or the opportunity to just sit back and relax and enjoy the ride. Along with spectacular natural scenery, the San Juan Islands are home to many species of marine wildlife, including porpoise, seals and sea lions, many types of water birds and the magnificent Orca Whales. We feel that seeing these animals from the deck of a sailboat, silently gliding through the water, is one of the most environmentally sound and respectful ways of viewing them in their natural habitat. We welcome you to join us! In addition to sailing, scenery and wildlife, we offer local wine and hors de oeuvres on most of our sails for a truly unique and exclusive experience.

I was booked to sail on a different boat with a different company, but due to a schedule issue, I was re-booked to sail on "Iris"--a lovely 43' Alden Cutter 1934 sailboat. Iris is expertly capatained by Morgan, her owner. She is so intelligent and...More

San Juan Classic Day Sailing has two boats: the Schooner Dirigo and the more intimate Cutter Iris. What better way to sail around Puget Sound than on a classic wooden sailboat. Capt Morgan has grown up on these waters and knows the currents, sights, flora...More

We signed up for the 8hr whale watching sail through Groupon. Whale watching isn't anything that can be completely guaranteed, and this sounded like a unique and amazing way to try and see the whales that wasn't on a power boat full of other tourists....More

We had a wonderful time on the water. Captain Morgan was experienced, knowledgeable, and patient. It was our first sailing experience, and we went with our 2 kids, ages 11 and 13. All four of had a relaxing and fun day sail.
