The museum was built in the Pueblo style and looks really nice and romantic - outside and inside. The art collections offer a good idea about the NM art. Do not miss the St. Francis auditorium, the inner yard and the sculpture garden, all of them very attractive and offering good moments of relaxation. If you leave the museum by... More

We have been very disapointed by our visit. Many rooms were not open for visitors. They still charge you $12 to see only few paintings. Don't waist your time and better visit some private galleries.

I stopped here at the end of a 12-day Santa Fe and Taos vacation. I had already spent dozens of hours in art galleries and museums on the trip, and this museum served as a summary of all I had seen. I enjoyed all the galleries. It was interesting to note that this was built as a museum 100 years... More

I love the sculpture gardens and the St Francis auditorium architecture. Our docent told us interesting stories about the history of the museum, which will be 100 years old in 2017! There were several different kinds of exhibits up when we were there.

Right off the Plaza and one of the museums included in the Culture Pass, this is an easy museum to visit. It is fairly small but had some very interesting exhibits. One gallery was dedicated to an exhibit called a Sampler. This had quite a variety of styles, all paintings of New Mexico. The Alcoves (5 of them) each featured... More

A wonderful museum that focuses on New Mexico artists. We joined the guided tour through the collection and didn't regret it. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was an artist in his own right. A must see in Santa Fe.

This museum is for those who want New Mexican fine art, not crafts. The museum is in a beautiful building; the collection is smallish but quite nice. We liked the fact that it wasn't overwhelming large and complex.

As an artist myself, I just loved this museum (as did my children). I loved seeing all of the artwork and it was tastefully displayed. There wasn't so much that it was overwhelming. Just the right size to hold the kid's attention. Highly recommend.
