Toured the museum soon after the 10 A.M. opening. I enjoyed the exhibit, which traces the history of present day N. Mexico from ancient times. Connected to the Palace of the Governors, it is a good spot for an hour - or two - of...More

I love museums, whether they're the biggest and most modern or something thrown together in some small almost forgotten town. The New Mexico History Museum is one of the best I've ever visited, maybe THE best. It's state-of-the-art incorporating many of the latest approaches intended...More

This was the perfect spot to learn more about the history of Santa Fe for our family. Our young kids enjoyed reading all the plaques and seeing some very unique artifacts. The museum was well marked by each piece, clean, friendly and memorable.

THe museum was gorgeous. The artifacts, legends were clear and plentiful. As a veteran, my wife and I entered cost free.

Although I am not a history buff or museum lover, I truly enjoyed visiting the New Mexico History Museum. Very interesting displays and chronological layout. I learned a lot about New Mexico and and the history of it.

I saw no dogs. I would be very surprised if dogs were allowed in a Museum like this one. Our dogs were very comfortably tucked at home with a house/dog sitter in their own surrounding. They would not enjoy a museum.
