The rock camel has a fence around it to protect the rocks from anyone interested in climbing it. It sits across the major road from the Camel Rock Indian Casino. You can see it from the road but if you need a nice break from...More

I first saw Camel Rock when on a business trip in 1970's. While it is now not as accessible as before, I make a special point to drive by on every trip to Santa Fe. 😊

Its a big rock that kinda looks like a camel. Look at it while you drive by, but this is not worth a stop.

Cute rock formation. Saw it on our way to Nambe Falls. I took pictures as we drove by. You can stop and look because there's a place to pull off safely.

We must have seen this rock 100s of times on our travels. It's a one of a kind experience, if only for a moment as you motor on your way to or from the many attractions of Northern New Mexico.

Stopped by as we were heading north on a road trip for only a few minutes. Can see from either side of the highway. Wouldn't go out of the way to see it but since we were going by we did.

There is no second camel. The nose fell off very recently. Thought to be due to erosion over time.
