This neat little roadside attraction has seen some abuse. It's fenced in from all sides so you can't get right up next to it. Looks like people go there to drink as there are broken beer bottles everywhere and cigarette butts. There is a little...More

Fascinating! Yes there are plenty of rock formations out west but not so many evoke our fondness for ET. It’s original name of Camel Rock fits well too. And it was beautiful at sunset.

It was a quick visit, nice to take a picture. The only set back is you can not really go near/ close to it.

Date of Visit: Dec 9th, 2017 I have been here previously, on a visit to Santa Fe. This is a beautiful rock formation that is easy to get to. It is right on the highway north of Santa Fe. There is plenty of parking, and...More

This was a frustrating and disappointing excursion out of Santa Fe. The map on TA is not accurate. The rock formation is about five miles north of the mapped location. Follow the written directions. As others have mentioned, this is actually best viewed from a...More

This rock formation lives up to its name. You cannot miss it as you drive up or down US 84. I would not make a special visit to this place, but if you are driving by, then pull off and visit it. The best overall...More

Yet another interesting rock formation in this High plains desert. So large it cannot be missed, and it is readily visible.

There is no reason to make a trip to see this unless you are already driving on Hwy 84. No real reason to stop and get out as you can see it from the car and there's a fence around it so climbing around is...More

This is pretty average and out of town a ways. I would check it out if you're already driving through the area, but it's out of town.

There is no second camel. The nose fell off very recently. Thought to be due to erosion over time.
