The climb to Stony Mountain was great. It was a rainy day but despite that the hike was a blast. Went back the next day and climbed Mary's Rock.

3 kids (9,10 and 13) with two adults hiked this trail. Spectacular views. We continued on part of the AT then onto the Passamaquoddy trail (our favorite) then back to Skyland via the horse trail. 3.3 miles total. A bit of elevation but the kids did great. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I completed this short hike following a rain shower. We reached the summit and enjoyed it alone-no crowds! It was early in the season -cold and windy but the sun came out and we were inspired by the amazing views!! This hike is truly a gem and very close to Skyland.

One of the best views I've ever seen. Easy hike for a major payoff. Large area at the summit to have lunch or just take in the view. Do not miss this one.

Beautiful views await you on this fabulous hike. Definitely a hike as it is directly up. Makes it short but can be a little wear on your knees. No pets allowed on the trail but that doesn't include children so I do encourage you to make this a family affair. Please watch the children by the rocks though easy to... More

This is beautiful part of SNP, good hike, great view. The hike itself is not too easy, but the final view is worth it. It is near Skyland lodge, place with good food and nice scenery. Everyone should visit.

Short hike , family friendly. Most of the ascent was toward the end of the hike . Windy at the top and could get crowded easily. Horses use the trail so , watch out for manure ! View was spectacular!

The views are absolutely amazing...We ended up taking the longer route so it was a little more difficult then we anticipated, but we were thrilled that we made it to the top because we were totally amazed at the gorgeous views!!

Great view......well marked and worth the walk. I would recommend it for someone who isn't very fit just for the landscape. Give them a chance to "hike" and not too difficult. But very scenic.

Pleasant short and nearly-flat hike along wooded trail with the reward of a wonderful view of the valley.
