The whole trail loop around the lake isn't open yet since the tornado went through (the big bridge at the far end is closed for repairs), but this is still a beautiful walk. The destruction caused by the tornado is immense on the Rt. 307...More

This path is (if I remember rightly) about 3 miles, no difficult slopes. It surrounds the largest reservoir in the area so it is almost completely through forest, pine mostly. You frequently encounter deer at the sides of the trail. It's almost IN downtown Scranton...More

This is my go-to for running while here. As of mid-may, still closed bc they are being precise about clearing the hanging limbs and branches (from the tornado damage) from the trees before they let anyone on. If its open when you get here, it...More

My fiancée & I love our walks at Lake Scranton! So gorgeous & serene.... unfortunately they do not allow pets. That is the only downside... if that changed I would rate it 5 stars.

Be alert, deer in the woods. Fresh air, no vehicle traffic, no loud music, set your own walking or running pace. And it is free !!!!

There is another entrance that is wheel chair accessible it's the one that has limited parking. Then the main parking lot had a steep incline that I would not recommend taking an electric WC.
