Enjoy nature hikes, walking, running, bicycling, or in-line skating along the 12 miles of riverside trails which consist of the Stones River, Lytle Creek and Gateway trails. Small watercraft access points are also available for paddlers to enjoy the Stones River. The Murfreesboro Greenway System connects historical sites, parks, neighborhoods and businesses; it also serves as a conservation corridor to preserve precious natural and cultural resources. Eleven trailheads provide access to the Murfreesboro Greenway System.

I would have given this a 5...but, more on that later. We love the ability to go our own pace and chat in near total privacy...except for an occasional critter or two. There are multiple "greens" for your location and distance...trailhead to trailhead. Depending on...More

The recently added dog park at the Cason Lane Trail head is very nice. There were several people there in Tuesday during the afternoon, but it was certainly not crowded. The dogs- and their owners- were having a great time.

My wife and I enjoyed this a lot, at the end of winter with signs that Spring was on its way. Nice location and maintained groomed with care. Good views and even on a cold day, good place to spend some time outside.

We live nearby so it's not a big deal to go. We love the water and walking trails. Not real keen on people bringing their dogs to poo there, although most clean it up.

Bring my granddaughter here to play and then we walk the greenway. While it is all paved it is still a great stroll and plenty of wildlife and critters to watch for.

Although there are many open fields, there are no soccer fields on the battlefield. There are adjacent soccer fields behind SportsCom (2.2 miles), Barfield-Crescent Park (2.4 miles), or various close schools.

Absolutely. There are lots of joggers particularly in the evening. Very safe and lots of shade.

I believe they close 30 minutes before sunset everyday. To be honest, I do not really remember any waterfalls, but if you do want to see some waterfalls, you should go to Fall Creek Falls or Burgess Falls.
