Enjoy nature hikes, walking, running, bicycling, or in-line skating along the 12 miles of riverside trails which consist of the Stones River, Lytle Creek and Gateway trails. Small watercraft access points are also available for paddlers to enjoy the Stones River. The Murfreesboro Greenway System connects historical sites, parks, neighborhoods and businesses; it also serves as a conservation corridor to preserve precious natural and cultural resources. Eleven trailheads provide access to the Murfreesboro Greenway System.

We love the Greenway. It has several trail heads, wide paths, easy for kids and adults alike. It has several things to see along the way. Winds along the river. One of the high lights of our Beautiful Murfreesboro

They have a great trail and it is always a great ride, I am a cyclist. The only thing that I do not liek is so many people that do not understand the rules to the Greenway ans it makes the ride frustrating

The greenway in the Boro is a nice place to get out and they keep adding to it, making for change of view and longer rides, runs and walks

I visit this place at least five times a week and have for many years. It is very relaxing to walk along the river and hear the rush of the water as it cascades over rocks.

Every town should have something like this, and with the expansion to Barfield Park, it really is something you can use to not only exercise, but use your bike to escape oppressive Boro traffic to get from one part of town to the other.
