My husband was very interested in seeing Meteor Crater, so we stopped there on our way from Grand Canyon to ABQ. It was very interesting, and the view from the top of the crater was very cool. The museum is also quite interesting and kept our kids (14, 12, and 10) occupied for longer than I would have expected. A... More

If I had known what admission was, I would not have let my husband take me there. At least the movie was decent. But it's basically a hole in the ground. Would not recommend this to anybody.

My wife and I drove past Meteor Crater just after sunset. The attraction had just closed. We were staying overnight in Winslow, Ariz. and I wasn't sure I wanted to backtrack 30 miles or so – we were driving from Seattle to Florida – but I'm thankful we did. To think about something hitting the Earth in a way to... More

Can't even comprehend the size totally when there. See the film. Only thing was I could not use my nat'l park pass, it is privately owned. But worth it!

Do not miss this stop between Flagstaff and Albuquerque. 6 miles off US 40. Privately owned and operated. Great discovery museum for the whole family. Even has a partnership with Subway so perfect lunch stop.

I have seen pictures of Meteor Crater since I was a kid, but they didn't prepare me for the vastness of the crater in person - it was a thrill. This is a privately run attraction. The admission price for seniors is $16, and includes a brief movie that gives some explanation and history. We didn't spend much time (e.g.... More

This was a very cool site visit. It had a very nice visitor center. I would definitely recommend the video. They give a AAA discount. They also will let your dogs stay in a cage inside while you tour. They had a subway inside if you were hungry.

While this was an interesting stop, I was glad we had a discounted price. The regular admission seems a bit steep.
