The Arboretum's greenhouses were filled with rows of identical starter plants, little of interest or the unusual there. The butterfly house is nice, but we only saw three types of butterflies in it. Trails are walkable and covered in bark, making them comfortable underfoot. Some...More

We took the long walking tour and learned a lot about forestry and restoration efforts in AZ. This facility does a lot of research on native plants and reestablish these plants. The Arboretum also does extensive work on reestablishing areas that have been burned by...More

If you have a 4x4, this will be your ideal vehicle for arriving at this property. Once inside, keep in mind the long winter delays the typical spring/summer flowers that you might see in other parts of the country.

I've visited this attraction several times over the years. It changes some, but it always seems unfinished. I enjoy seeing all the plants, especially the flowers, but they are not plentiful. We took a guest with us this time and she made similar comments. It...More

A lovely little area for the public to walk around a pond, special gardens. Birding. Little gift shop. Quiet and relaxing walk.
