Hiked this trail twice so far. Did an in and out although there is a loop possibility. Trial would be considered moderate due to rocks and elevation changes. Right now beautiful aspens on the trail and driving up to it. Trailhead is at the AZ Snowbowl and the far end of the parking lot. Definitely recommend this for a day... More

This is one of our favorite hikes in Flagstaff: It's easy to get to, with a trailhead right off of one of the Snowbowl parking lots (which means tons of parking, even when busy), and while the beginning of the trail seems messy, with downed aspen scattered all over the place, it quickly becomes a truly magical walk, especially if... Easy to get here from Flagstaff. Take US 180 W and turn right onto N Snow Bowl Rd.(this road is almost directly accross from Ski Lift Lodge) It is about 5 or 6 miles up this mountain road to the 1st pair of parking lots. At the far end of the right side parking lot you'll find the trail-head for... More

Always a great hike that's never too busy. Very long hike that is as easy or hard as you want it to be. Regardless of how long you hike, you'll have stunning views the entire time. Be sure to bring rain gear and dress with layers, this is up towards the top of the mountain and weather can change rapidly.

We started hiking last year, so we aren't all that experienced. We are in our late 50s - mid 60s and felt this trail was moderately challenging in certain spots. The trail is well-maintained. There is some climbing over rocks, which is the reason I say "moderately challenging." We were there on a weekday, but there did seem to be... More

We were out here to walk a hike and get some nice views. The friendly waiter atthe brewery in Flagstaff told us that this hike then would be perfect and that it was his favourite. I dont understand how this hike can be anyone's preffered hike and most definitely not a favourite. There was no views what so ever, just... More

Great hiking trail, not too difficult. Make it as long as you wish, in and out the same way. Great scenery high in the ponderosas and aspens.

We frequently hike Flagstaff and enjoy many trails but this is far and away, one of our favorites. The elevation and views are unsurpassed. One of my favorite things about this trail is how much the scenery changes throughout. Vastly different flora, fauna and terrain as you go. Doesn't get much better than this!

The elevation is Flagstaff is over 7000 feet so keep that in mind when doing this hike. This hike gives you views of the meadow and I would qualify it as a moderate hike. We chose this trail because it was fairly close to Flagstaff and a good trail. We are not fitness freaks but average over 40 folks and... More
