Visitor center is located in the original train station, which still functions as an Amtrak train station. Everyone there was extremely helpful. They also had a wonderful gift shop.

A quick stop here will be helpful for getting information on the area and they provided some decent maps for getting around.

Many visitor centers have a nondescript, almost industrialized air to them. Not this one. In a beautiful and historic railroad station building, it is as colorful and inviting as Arizona's enchanting highest mountains, the very nearby San Francisco Peaks. And for railroad enthusiasts . ....More
