Beautiful canyon drive with plenty of high rock walls to look at as well as amazing mountain views. The Alpine loop is stunning any time of the year. There are plenty of hiking trails and a wonderful campsite along the rivers edge. If you want to nice drive with plenty to look at from your car window, you have it. If you want to park and take a hike or two along mountain tops or rivers edges, its there for you. A picnic lunch or hotdog roast over a fire in clean picnic areas along the rivers you have it too. Well worth the time. A week day trip will be less busy. Can be busy on the weekends.…

This is a very beautiful drive with many places to stop and take pictures or take a hike. It has stunning views of the trees and it is a very nice drive. However, it is getting so busy, and the road is very narrow in several places, so if you have anything larger than a pickup, you risk not being able to maneuver very well around other cars. The weekends seem to be the busiest time but it is lovely when the fall colors are showing. So go early or in the morning when the sun is just coming up or go later in the evening before sunset if you can.…

This is one of the most beautiful canyons in the state, unfortunately it is also becoming one of the busiest. With the improvements at Tibble Fork, a lot more people are up the canyon every weekend.

I’ve never thought to find a place like this so close to us. The canyon has so many campgrounds and picnic areas that we can not even count them all. The nature itself surrounding us is outstanding. You can take not only your car but your trailer (if you guys have one) and find a place to pull over for a fee. The recreation fee (not camping) is only $6 for three days. By the way, It’s just a perfect place for families. …
