The path up to the cliff dwellings is steep so wear good climbing shoes. The dwellings were not protected in the early 1900s so there was significant damage to them. You can look through doorways but not go into the dwellings. I would love to...More

We LOVED the Tonto National Monument. The hike up to it is STEEEEP, and utilize those benches, but it was so worth it to be able to walk through the actual rooms of the ancient cliff dwellings. Not a hike up for anyone with a...More

Start your ascent early - the path is steep and the sun is hot! It takes around a half hour to reach the lower cave dwelling. The view is worth the climb! This may be a bit difficult for children or elderly.

Hi, I am sorry I am not sure at all. I think your best answer would be to call. The site states Upper Cliff Dwelling tours are from November through April. Have a great time when you go!
