As far as views of the ocean are concerned this walk is average. But the houses along the walk are magnificent. It is a relatively easy walk and you can access via any of the various streets that end at the shoreline

Lots of seats and water filter stations. Really worth exploring this free attraction which brings the beaches and the gilded mansions altogether

The views from the walk were beautiful - both looking out at the water and back toward the waterfront mansions. Most of the 3.5 mile walk is easy but there are a few places where you have to jump from one large rock to another....More

The cliff walk offers an opportunity to see the water and catch a glimpse of some of the mansions in Newport. It's a great way to walk off the lunch from one of the many restaurants in town!

Wonderful way to walk along the water with mansions on the other side. There's rough terrain along rocks is some places and easy paved paths for most of the walk.

I enjoyed the Cliff Walk on the off season (November) and it was a peaceful experience. Due to logistical constraints, I walked from the 40 steps (where there was ample (and free) on-street parking this time of year) to the end beyond Ledge Rd. This...More
