This was a superb spot to sit and enjoy a lunchtime picnic. After eating our sub we strolled along the promenade to the statue of Rochambeau and stopped to admire the stunning vista over the marina towards Pell Bridge.

Take a nice stop here for a great view of the harbor. There is plenty of free parking and places to relax.

King Park is a great area to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds along the waterfront. One may take a stroll or simply sit and relax. Great green space. Nice area to watch sailboats as they leave and enter the harbor area.

Lots of open lawn space with a couple of small beaches. Gorgeous views of the water and sailboats, and not at all crowded.

Nice place to stop and park to look at the Newport bay and the boats moored There is a ball field but we didn't see anyone playing. Has restroom if needed for public

Great place to have a picnic and spend the day. Very relaxing and you can have pets there. People there were nice and park was very clean.

Located on Wellington Street, just a block or two off Lower Thames Street is a small park with a small beach. Lots of local kids come here as it is far from the crowds of Newport Summers, has clean restrooms, and plenty of open space...More
