Scam. We parked in the lot (no one was working the gate so we took a ticket). Many of the shops were closed (mid April). When we went to leave, there was an attendant at the exit gate who charged us $34 for 4 hours. Cash only, no receipt. Huge scam. Stay away.

We are not easy people to write a positive review, but after our visit to Brick Market Place in the heart of beautiful Newport we have changed. Yes this area of Newport is packed with great stores. And now a brand new North Sails store has just opened up! Before they open, a true market test of the area, I... More

Loved walking down old historic streets paved with bricks. Plenty of shopping and eating establishments to choose from.

As you can see in my pictures, totally void of people here! This is the dead zone of shopping and has obviously been forgotten by its town. It's run-down, with weeds growing out of corners, and needs a good lead-blowing. Not much interesting for stores. In sum, don't go out of your way to hit this place!

This is one of the first shopping areas you'll encounter if you start your Newport trip down towards the Visitor's Center end. It's a lovely cobblestone/brick open-air shopping area, with some nice little boutiques. There are a few name-brand stores along the way too, such as Yankee Candle, Sephora, White House Black Market, and Chico's. There are also a number... More

Ate lunch here the other day. Huge variety of food. New England clam chowder was amazing! Flavorful, full of clams. Lobster roll fresh and generous with the lobster. Nachos were huge and cheesy. Margaritas and bloody Mary's perfect. Our waitress was very attentive especially since they were so busy!! Would eat there again and again!

We went to the Moorings for Lunch, and sat outside and watches all the boats go in and out.. Fabulous. We went to a lot of shops: Brick Marketplace & Bannister's wharf. The only problem we had was when we went to the Restrooms at the Museum in the Brick Marketplace the bathrooms were closed for cleaning. So make sure... More
