This lighthouse is on the property of the Castle Hill Inn. Though a sign said not to trespass, we took our chances because we needed to see this lighthouse and add it to our lighthouse passport. It's a short walk to get to it. It's...More

Castle Hill Lighthouse isn't open to the public but it is accessible. And the views of Narragansett Bay and the East Passage between Conanticut Island and Aquidneck Island are spectacular, well worth the trip. Be sure to bring a camera. Built in 1890 on land...More

We just view Castle Hill from afar. I love the history behind the Lighthouses! The protectors, guilding the sailors home to their families. Welcoming travlors from distant lands.

easy to walk to. at first I was a bit confused by parking but after I found a spot it made sense. Once you get to the light house there an amazing view off the clifts of some of the homes and boats.

A hidden gem! A little challenging to find, but well worth the short hike to this amazing view. We were there with crashing waves and partial fog which added to the experience. Lots of opportunities for rock climbing along the coastline. Great photo op.

It would have been even cooler if you could go inside. There are a maze of trails to this spot from the parking area nearby for all of the fishermen trying to catch dinner. The views of the Bay and the boat traffic is very...More

So relaxing and quiet, my favorite spot. A little hike onto the rocks, but well worth it. Bring your sunscreen~!~

We parked on the side of the road and took a trail to the lighthouse....there wasn't a soul around...if you are willing to chance it, you can maybe just go for it?????

I don't recall how well you can see Beavertail from Castle Hill, but I stopped on my way home. If you don't take the second bridge as you leave Newport and head to Jamestown it's not a far drive. The area is beautiful...well... More

The lighthouse is located on the same property. If you park at the far end of the parking lot, there is a short path that will take you to the lighthouse.
