Good to get a great overview of Newport. Saw the church JFK and Jackie were married in, lots of old taverns, mansions, etc. Open air, take jacket as needed.

You board at the visitor center. The pier the cruise lines use is not too far away. I've walked it when staying at a resort on the pier and it didn't seem to far. Give yourself a half hour to get there.
