America's Cup Charters is Newport, RI's premier sailing company chartering the legends of the America's Cup trophy. We’ve been chartering the America's Cup legends since 1986. We also offer daily ticketed sails for individuals. Our fleet includes the illustrious Intrepid - the two time winner of the coveted America's Cup trophy, Weatherly - winner of the America's Cup and also one of the few yachts listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ted Hood's infamous Nefertiti, and former ocean racer Ted Turner's champion and America's Cup contender American Eagle. Race, train, or just relax aboard the legendary 70' long 12-Meter Class yachts. This can be an interactive hands-on experience, no sailing experience necessary, or a casual relaxing sail. Each yacht has a captain and two crew members on board to interact with our guests. We give people the chance to feel what it's like to be part of an America's Cup experience. The protected waters and predictable breezes of Narragansett Bay make for a comfortable racing and cruising experience.

Walter was our skipper on Nefertiti - we were able to help sail the boat, and had a great time discussing Nefertiti's sailing history, sailing lore, Newport stories, etc. There were about a dozen guests on board, plus two other crew in addition to Walter....More

Went sailing on 12 Meter Nefertiti through America's Cup Charters in Newport last Wednesday. It was a meaningful sail to me, as my grandfather helped build the boat back in the early 1960's at Graves Yacht Yard. In arranging for the sail, Bruce was very...More

DaveT1424 - So happy to hear you found such joy in sailing Neffi. It's always wonderful to have guests on board who have a connection to the boat.

This review is a challenging one because there are factors that affect the experience of a ticketed sail that are beyond anyone's control. The first is obviously the weather. We were blessed with great sun and good wind, so our hopes were high that we...More

As a long-time sailor, going for a sail on a 12-Meter was always on my bucket list. My wife and I, along with two other couples with considerable sailing experience took a late afternoon 2-hour sail on Nefertiti, the 1958 12-Meter that was narrowly defeated...More
