About
Since opening in January 1999, the Battleship Missouri Memorial has attracted more than 10-million visitors from around the world with a fascinating tour experience showcasing the USS Missouri’s unique place in history. Located a mere ship’s length from the USS Arizona Memorial, the Mighty Mo completes a historical visitor experience that begins with the “day of infamy” and sinking of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and ends with Japan’s formal surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945. The USS Missouri had an astounding career over five decades and three wars – World War II, the Korean War, and Desert Storm – after which it was decommissioned and donated to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Association operates the Battleship Missouri Memorial as a historic attraction and oversees her care and preservation with the support of visitors, memberships, grants, and donations.

    Outstanding tour
The tour of the Battleship Missouri Memorial was outstanding! Dave was our tour guide. He had a great voice - clear and easy to understand and his quotes of the people involved were very good and informative. We were very happy that we decided to do a guided tour of the battleship.

    Excellent tour. Important history.
Options for self guided or a free guided tour. Finn was an excellent tour guide. This ship is so important for American and world history. The events that took place on the ship can never be forgotten. You stand where the Japanese signed the Instruments of Surrender ending World War II. This ship also has an extensive history in several conflicts in the Pacific and elsewhere in the world. It was mothballed a couple of times. Thankfully, it has been restored and the world can see and remember the important moments in history that took place on this ship.

Great opportunity to see living history.
Lani was an amazing guide and was able to address mobility issues with aplomb. She was very knowledgeable and I learned about so much of Mighty Mo's history. Hearing about the Kamakazi story and the respect give was moving.

    History was made here!
The "Mighty Mo" is moored very close to the USS Arizona memorial and the 2 bookend The US's involvement in WW2. I would recommend taking the free 35 mins tour when on board before exploring the ship on your own. Lots to see and very interesting.

    USS Missouri was AMAZING
While visiting Pearl Harbor, USS Missouri was our favorite part. I hadn't been on a battleship before. Also, it was used from WWII to during the Gulf War period. It was AMAZING. They allowed us to move around most of the ship. I highly recommend that you plan to see it!

    Very informative and excellent exhibits
The process to get to the USS Missouri was easy and the guide was very informative. We took a self-guided tour and enjoyed walking on the various levels. I do not recommend eating at the food court as it was expensive! $30 for 3 hotdogs and two waters. The Pacific Aviation is next on the agenda. It was a great experience. We had a snack there and it was reasonable.

    Great activity with teens
Absolutely amazing history and an incredibly cool feat of engineering. Definitely recommend the free tour onboard (35 mins - we’ll worth it for the info), but the trip through the lower decks was the most immersive and cool part. Both teen daughters also loved the whole thing. We couldn’t get tix for the Arizona, but this made the trip 100% worthwhile anyway.

    WOW, just WOW
This was the highlight of our visit to Pearl Harbor. The ship looks like she could head out and fight today. Visitors are allowed to see most of the ship which is really cool. We took a guided tour to see the boilers and command centers deep below. I highly recommend visiting the Mighty Mo!

    Amazing Tour
We booked this tour last minute and it definitely worth it. We did the optional 25-30 min tour they was included on the battleship. Russell is such a sweet and funny man. I enjoyed listening to him and learning about the battleship. After the tour, we were free to explore the battleship and take pictures. Overall, I would recommend this tour.

I thought the history presented was invaluable. the unfortunate result of visiting the lower decks was the bombardment of mold and now I am suffering an acute respiratory responsce. I wish there was a warning before you went below deck, as the labyrinth of hallways, makes escape impossible. The library was the trigger. The rest of the area, including the crew quarters was also quite pungent.

We came here as part of a Pearl Harbor tour, but I wanted to write here separately to note that Lisa was an incredible tour guide and made our experience a great one! This ship is a cool part of U.S. history and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I thought it was quite impressive that they had the USS Arizona where WWII began next to the USS Missouri where the treaty was signed to end WWII. You can see the spot where the treaty was signed. Included with your admission is a free 35 minute tour and a museum admission. I took the tour which doesn’t go through the ship quarters. I saw the bridge but didn’t have time to see the quarters. The ship was impressive but I thought the admission price was on the high side. You must take a shuttle bus from the Arizona to get to the Missouri on Ford Island

I'm a WWII history nut, so I should be rating a visit to the USS Missouri as an "Excellent" site. Perhaps because I've toured a fair number of warships, I found touring the Missouri an average experience (not bad, but not excellent). The price ($35) may be a bit high for a family if all members are not excited to tour it. If you have never toured a large warship and the time you've allocated for your day at Pearl Harbor permits it, then definitely do tour it. If you've toured a few other warships, you may find the sites and scant informational material on the Missouri just OK; I've seen information presented more compellingly on other ships. The Missouri could use more explanatory signs/placards. The history of the Missouri, in particular its use for the Japanese surrender, is interesting, but the spot on the ship where the surrender was signed is not particularly dramatic.

Well worth the stop especially if you enjoy history. She is a beautiful ship and should be seen by all. My adult sons felt this was their favorite out of all the sights of Pearl Harbor.

My favorite part of Pearl Harbor. My father was in the Pacific Navy in the mid-1940s, and the Mighty Mo really gave me a sense of what it was like to be a sailor on a WWII battleship. In retrospect I didn’t allow enough time and 8 will be back when I visit Oahu again.

I really enjoyed the tour. I loved the pictures and the plaque where the surrender was signed. I never realized they had all the regular things like ice cream machines.

It seemed remarkable to tour the battleship Missouri where the Japanese surrendered to the U.S. after WWII. You can stand in the exact spot where General MacArthur accepted the surrender. Took the Captain's Tour Add-On and was not disappointed. Got to see the Captain's quarters, the spot where they loaded the 16 inch guns, and the room where they conducted weapons control.
