We recently visited Oahu and stayed at a neighboring resort, however, we went to the Royal Hawaiian for this Luau. The setup was beautiful when we walked in. We were instantly greeted to get our drink order, and the service was great. While enjoying our...More

Every Monday and Thursday evening at the Royal Hawaiian. It is only Oceanfront with Luxury Luau dinner in Waikiki. ‘Aha‘aina is title of this luau, which mean gathering for a meal in Hawaiian language. Luau story is about Hawaii's history from ancient to modern.

Not strictly Hawaiian with all sorts of polynesian cultuers thrown in the mix. Not cheap and Royal Hawaiian guests get a sort of unpublished seating preference. Entertaining and fun for kids, but not too young. Good if not exceptional buffet but if you can get...More

Paid almost $400 to watch a pretty boring show. The restaurant next-door has a patio where you can watch the entire thing for free and choose the food you want. The food is my biggest complaint. Buffet style with IHOP quality. Advice, eat next door...More

This is the best luau ('Aha 'Aina) in all of Hawaii. Waikiki beach, Diamond Head and Hawaiian sunset are the backdrops. The food is delicious farm/fish to table. The seating is intimate. The stories, history, pace of show and performers is amazing. Love it and...More

I have been to probably 30 or so luau shows. I think this is one of the best. It is pricey. First, it is held on the back lawn, fronting the beach, of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, a Waikiki landmark. Second, it's beautiful. Third, the...More

We booked for this event partly to visit The Royal Hawaiian Hotel and enjoy its hospitality and to watch a live performance of Hawaiian dance and culture. We were not disappointed! There was a great choice of food, which was beautifully displayed and very tasty...More

My family and I have now been to 5 luaus in Maui, Hawaii, and Honolulu. This is by far the nicest of the events. It's a smaller event with around 200 people versus some others of 500 people. This was a much nicer dinner experience,...More

Though we thought it was a little pricey $600 family 2A 2C. It certainly was a great show. An excellent host, beautiful dancers and singers and quality food. Set on a stunning backdrop of Waikiki beach.

I had unlimited drinks when I was there in January. They kept refilling them at the table.

They don't have deals or discounts. We booked directly through their website (link through Royal Hawaiian). You should book early as possible though, seating is very limited and performances are only on Mondays.
