My spouse is not normally a fan of art galleries, but we both enjoyed the displays here. It is a mix of art (as in paintings) and craft.

My daughter worked here in 2014-2015, she would often share many very interesting details on artifacts that eventually I had to go for a visit. I was not dissapointed! In fact I filled up my memory card with pictures, it was that interesting.

We got free admission through our hotel, The Outrigger. We spent about an hour in there but could easily have spent longer. The air conditioning is great, a good place to cool down. There is a cafe and toilets on site. The art is quite...More

We found this by accident by hopping on the free trolley shuttle from Waikiki and on recommendation by the trolley guide. Wow! Absolutely stunning. Beautiful artworks that have been very cleverly and sympathetically curated. Don't miss it. Oahu is so much more than Waikiki and...More

This is a cute museum with very Hawaiian open air courtyards. It has a nice collection of European paintings with something from most of the most famous artists, but it's most interesting holdings are in the Eastern Arts section with some nice historical Chinese collections...More

Good place to visit if you have the time. We made reservations for lunch and were glad we did. Surprised by the amount and variety of art work here. Lovely gallery.

Nice little museum with artifacts from Asia, some European paintings, as well as local Hawaiian art. Make sure to take a map of the place as it can be a bit tricky navigating to the different display areas. The café located inside the museum serves...More

We really enjoyed our morning visit in early June 2017 to this museum. It is a really lovely museum and atmosphere. It did seem to get very busy later in the day, so we were glad that we had begun our visit when they had...More

This museum is not small about 15 collection rooms and courtyards. There are always exhibishion as well. But depending on your schedule, 1 hour or 2 hours will be walking through all collection rooms.

I concur with the other two respondents, but would also add that there is paid parking at the Blaisdell Center across Thomas Square and metered parking adjacent to the museum and Linekona Center.

There's an office just behind the admissions desk where people leave packs and suitcases. The staff is very helpful.
