It was my first time to see and experienced entering an actual submarine and i can say that this is the highlight of my visit at the Pearl Harbor. Its amazing how those navies or mariners have tried to fit on whatever available space they...More

Very interesting to see and walk thru. You can also do an audio tour. Interesting to go thru and see the tight spaces they lived and worked in.

Visit to the USS Bowfin submarine gives you a glimpse into the life that sailors lived on this vessel during World War II. The submarine is easily accessible from the main site of Pearl Harbor. Most of the submarine is open for leisure exploration and...More

Glad we saw it. This venue didn't require as much time as most other in the area. Kinda gets hot on the sub and claustrophobic. Not a great venue for someone that has limited mobility.

Pearl Harbor is a must see in my eyes, try book in advance as we didn't get to see the uss Arizona because it was booked out... Waikiki trolley brings you a few steps away

The navy wasn't boating people out to the Arizona due to forecast-ed bad weather, even though not a cloud in the sky, so we toured this instead and it was really awesome.

With the Arizona Monument temporarily closed we decided to check out the Bowfin and were glad we did. The sub is so much longer than one thinks from looking at it on the outside. It was interesting to see what daily life was like when...More

Fascinating to see how an entire battle environment w/ living quarters is laid out linearly in a slender horizontal tube ! Everything is so compact - very interesting to get a glimpse into what a submariners life might be like - will visit again &...More

The Bowfin itself is just a self-guided walkthrough. It really depends when you go/how busy it is. We went during off-season and it took us about 20-30 minutes.
