My hotel, Embassy Suites is down the street from this park. We used to come here when I was a kid, have picnics, potlucks and just relax under the trees. We visited Waikiki during the Waikiki holiday parade and saw many high school bands practicing here. The bus to Ala Moana stops here as well. Please note not just the... More

My wife and I used the park, and beach next to it every day for the last week on our holidays. The grass is beautiful lush green and well manicured, dotted with great shade trees and palm trees. You can lie on the grass under the shade of a palm, and stroll 30 or so steps onto the beautiful beach... More

This was close by our hotel and it was a nice quiet spot for a walk. They also do tai chi classes in the mornings. It is very clean and is patrolled at night.

This park is right along the beach and is quite large. It has plenty of open space to just wander. It was our favorite way to get from the Hilton Hawaiian Village to the Waikiki area.

We regularly stopover in the area and find this large park enjoyable for walking and generally relaxing. It us beside our resort in a great location, you feel completely safe. Plenty if people about doing the same thing.

DeRussy Beach is a good place for picnics and just relaxing. The grass is a nice contrast to the sand of the beach which it is next to. It is right next to the Waikiki Beach.

This park is huge! Beautifully maintained....saw people exercising, bike riding, walking, reading, families taking a picnic and workers taking their smoke time...a gorgeous park appreciated by many in a top location. Great spot for photos too.

Fort DeRussy is well worth walking through and sitting and eating your lunch in. It's not well lit at night so although we did walk through there once we made sure it was when there were a number of other people walking through. It's a nice place to just chill for a while.

This is right on Waikiki and consists of a few picnic tables located under shade trees. We used to visit the park every weekend when I was a kid, and it has changed a lot. The public is not restricted from walking in and using the tables, but the rest of the area and Hale Koa is restricted to military... More

This park is absolutely perfect! huge and beautiful, plus Koa beach right next to it is so much less crowded than Waikiki and a beautiful beach.
