This is adjacent to the Hale Koa Hotel, There are picnic tables, barbecues, and lots of shade -- totally worth it. Also, the Army Musume is here and free. The beach was great a need to swim to the white byo and beyond to see good sea-life. On the beach, by the rock pier, there is a guy [Dino] who... More

If you're on Waikiki Beach stop in to the Army Museum at Fort DeRussy Beach Park. Interesting and worth your time. Take the kids! There's lots to learn! On a hot day, the air conditioning is a refreshing change. All that and it's FREE!!

This is adjacent to the Hale Koa Hotel, the hotel established to provide our service men & women an affordable resort of their own on Waikiki. It is right across the sidewalk from Waikiki beach and in the summer is most likely packed with military and their families. There are picnic tables, barbecues, and lots of shade -- totally worth... Whenever we walk this section of beach, I am reminded of how much our Military Service Members need places like this to relax from their stressful duties of keeping us all safe from the many harmful situations that are present in our current world. It is a great place and nice to see the military personnel enjoying themselves, some even... More

My wife and I enjoyed a picnic lunch in this park. We could see the beach and yet were in an area with many trees, barbecues, and play areas. Great for families

This is a great park with beautiful old trees providing shade. There are also many sunbathers lying around in the park near the beach. Don't miss the Military museum here that is free and is inside one of the shore bunkers.

The park (like most in Honolulu) is populated by homeless people sleeping rough. The area is in fact quite nice but it isn't attractive due to the mix of rough dwellers.

Beautiful park close to the beach. Great place to stop for a picnic or BBQ or just walk through to get out of the sun.
